Derm Dent Awareness
Sybil is a senior at the Rush Henrietta Senior High School. Sybil and her friend are completing a community awareness project for a national organization called HOSA, which is dedicated to preparing future health leaders for a successful career in medicine.
Reflected by their growing passion for the medical field, they founded a HOSA chapter at their school to give students an opportunity to explore the many pathways in medicine. They are both very involved in community service, and dedicate much of their time to giving back.
They felt that sharing information about the link between poor oral hygiene and skin disease is very important, as it is often overlooked and deserves more attention. So, they founded a nonprofit project called DermDent Awareness to help educate their community about this important topic.
