Nick is a community leader, technology strategist, and the founder of Open Heart Outlaws, a Rochester-based nonprofit dedicated to helping working-class families facing unexpected life crises. Through a network of compassionate motorcycle riders, Open Heart Outlaws delivers specific, significant, and immediate relief to those who need it most.
Built on the belief of championing the underdog, the organization focuses on supporting overlooked and underserved individuals and families—often stepping in when no one else can.
Nick's dedication to making a difference in our community has not gone unnoticed. He was recently honored as a 2026 RE Rising Award recipient by the Greater Rochester Chamber, recognizing his outstanding leadership and commitment to grassroots community impact.
Kelly Murtha Ridges Rescue
For more than a decade, Kelley has dedicated her life to helping animals in need. With over 11 years of volunteer service with Rochester Animal Services and 7–8 years actively involved in rescue work, her passion led her to establish Ridge's Rescue in 2022, expanding her mission to help homeless and at-risk dogs find the second chances they deserve.
Kelley's commitment goes far beyond rescue. She has fostered more than 50 dogs, providing love, care, and a safe place for them to heal while waiting for their forever homes. Today, she shares her home with her beloved dog Gloria and foster dogs Gordo and Scooby, continuing her hands-on dedication to animal welfare.
When she's not organizing rescues, fostering dogs, fundraising, or advocating for animals, Kelley works full-time as a Specialty Product Supervisor at Premium Mortgage. Her dedication proves that one person truly can make a difference in the lives of countless animals.

Melanie and Sheila, the owners of Treats &
Treasures Boutique.
Before opening the boutique, we both worked
traditional 9–5 jobs while pouring our hearts into
our creative passions—Melanie through baking and
Sheila through crafting. What started as attending a
few vendor shows quickly grew into something
bigger. Within a few years, weekends became full-
time work doing what we love.
After being placed next to each other at a show, we
started chatting, then decided to carpool to the
next event. That one car ride turned acquaintances
into business partners—and Treats & Treasures
Boutique was born.
Melanie is a mom of two who specializes in baking
and catering orders, especially during the holiday
season. She loves how simple ingredients can come
together to create moments that spark emotion,
bring joy, and leave a lasting impression.
Sheila has always had a deep love for family and
creativity. Her handcrafted pieces—now found in
several local shops around Rochester—go beyond
materials like vinyl, felt, and plastic. Each piece is
designed to help people express appreciation and
connection through meaningful gifts.
Together, we created Treats & Treasures Boutique
as a place where heartfelt treats and thoughtful
treasures come together to celebrate community,
creativity, and connection.

As a former leader of the Greater Rochester SCORE chapter, she has mentored countless individuals through every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.
Today, Tamara is helping businesses understand and implement Artificial Intelligence in practical, approachable ways. Through her unique AI integration framework, she teaches entrepreneurs how to use AI strategically to improve efficiency, strengthen customer engagement, and grow their businesses while maintaining their authentic voice and values.
In addition to her coaching and consulting work, Tamara is the host of ROC Voices on Rochester Free Radio WRFZ 106.3 FM and a passionate advocate for community connection, leadership, and lifelong learning.
